KEELY SCOTT BA, LMT, 200 hour YTT
I graduated from Port Townsend School of Massage in 2014 and completed an additional certification in Orthopedic Massage the following year where I was introduced to Myofascial Balancing, a modality that has greatly informed my practice.
The type of work I do is designed to be both therapeutic and relaxing for the client because I consider the two approaches important to create effective, lasting change.
Before becoming a Massage Therapist, I received a Bachelor's degree from Greenville College in 2009, and additionally played four years of soccer. I tore my ACL during a game my freshman year and this injury led me to understand the value of alternative healing and mindful movement.
After graduating from college and leaving my home state of Illinois, I completed two terms with Americorps, clearing trails in wilderness areas of Montana and Idaho. This experience inspired me to live more sustainably, so I spent several seasons on small scale organic farms learning how to grow food which is how I came to Orcas Island in 2012. This is where I happily put down roots, began my journey as a Massage Therapist and started a family.
